The LRC locomotive — for “Light, Rapid, Comfortable” — was developed by Bombardier and Montreal Locomotive Works and delivered from 1980 to 1984 in two subclasses, LRC-2 (21 units) and LRC-3 (10 units). This grey test scheme dates from the early years of the LRC program, when these aerodynamic machines were still being evaluated.
