About us

A specialist shop since 2009

Modèle B.T. is located in downtown Drummondville, at 303 rue Hériot, a few steps from the railway line. Since 2009, the shop has been devoted to model railroading and welcomes modellers in store and online.

A deliberate specialization: HO scale

We have chosen to focus entirely on HO scale (1:87) rather than spreading our inventory across every scale. That choice lets us offer a depth few retailers can maintain: the Canadian and American road names, the detail parts, the decoders and the layout components you are looking for are genuinely on our shelves. You can browse our full range in The world of trains.

An inventory, not a catalogue

More than 5,000 products are physically in stock in Drummondville. When an item is shown as available on our site, it is in the store and ready to be shipped or picked up. Products we do not carry can be ordered from our suppliers.

A workshop, not just a counter

Our team installs DCC decoders, sound decoders and lighting systems, carries out repair and maintenance of rolling stock, and handles the purchase and consignment sale of used equipment. Labour is billed at $60 per hour, in 15-minute increments. Full details of each service are on our Services page.

Advice before the sale

You can test a locomotive in the store before buying it, assess its sound and performance, and put your questions to people who practise the hobby themselves. That is what a website alone cannot replace.
