Repair and Maintenance

We repair and tune locomotives and rolling stock, primarily in HO scale. Whether it's a balky motor, an electrical pickup issue, couplers that need replacing, or preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments), we bring your models back to life so they run smoothly on your layout. Labour is billed at $60 per hour, in 15-minute increments: you only pay for the time actually spent on your model.

DCC and Sound Installation

Make the switch to digital control! We install DCC decoders, sound decoders, and lighting systems in your locomotives. We'll help you choose the right decoder for your model and your command system, and we handle the basic programming so your locomotive is ready to run when it leaves the store. Labour is billed at the same rate of $60 per hour, in 15-minute increments; the cost of the decoder is added based on the model you choose.

Purchase and Consignment of Used Equipment

Looking to sell part of your collection? We buy used equipment and also offer a consignment sales service. Our formula is simple and transparent: a 30% commission on the sale price, nothing more. Bring your locomotives, cars, and accessories to the store: we'll assess them with you and suggest the option that works best for you.
