The LokPilot 5 Fx micro and its “twin” LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC is an extremely small function only decoders with NO MOTOR CONTROL and a footprint of only 8.0mm x 7.0mm. The thickness is only 2.4mm (on the capacitor: 2.9 mm). It is used in all vehicles of nominal sizes N to HO scale that do not need a motor output, but should still be able to activate lighting effects. LokPilot 5 Fx micro decoders are always offered with an 8-pin interface.

Operating Modes
The LokPilot 5 Fx micro is a true multi-protocol decoder. It supports the DCC data format as well as Motorola® and Selectrix®. In the DCC format, 14 to 128 speed steps are a given, as are short (1-127) and long (128-9999) addresses and up to 32 functions. Thanks to RailComPlus®, the decoders register fully automatically with a suitable digital command stations such as the ESU ECoS or CabControl. It supports all DCC programming modes, and thanks to RailCom®, the CV values can be read on the main track with suitable command stations. Auxiliary CVs are available for command stations that can only program CVs 1-255. Motorola® users benefit from up to 28 speed steps with 255 addresses. Three additional Motorola® addresses allow the triggering of 16 functions. A built-in programming mode also allows programming with the venerable 6021 Control Unit.

The LokPilot 5 Fx DCC “only” speaks the DCC protocol, but can also be automatically registered with corresponding command stations using RailComPlus®.

The LokPilot 5 Fx micro decoder recognizes the Märklin® braking sections as well as the ZIMO® HLU / ZACK commands or the Lenz® ABC system. Braking with DCC brake modules or with DC voltage is also possible. It also stops with a Selectrix® brake diode. An ABC automatic shuttle train control system enables automatic shuttling between two stations. This is also important with a function decoder to synchronize control cars (Cab Control) and motor driven rail vehicles.

The LokPilot 5 Fx decoder can be used on analog DC railways. The decoder switches between the operating modes fully automatically "on-the-fly". In most cases, no adjustments are required.

Functions
The LokPilot 5 Fx micro or LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC has been equipped with an astonishing number of function outputs. There are 6 powered function outputs with 180mA output current each and two logic level outputs for servos or Susi. The brightness of each output can be adjusted separately.

Operational safety
If required, a PowerPack can be connected to the LokPilot 5 Fx micro and LokPilot 5 Fx micro DCC to bridge dirty track sections.

Protection
Of course, the outputs are protected against overload. We want you to enjoy your decoder for as long as possible.
