The ESU PowerPack Maxi was developed as the powerful complement to the LokSound L V4.0 / LokSound 5 L decoders. Where space allows, it can also be connected to all LokPilot V4.0, LokSound V4.0, LokPilot 5 or LokSound 5 decoders. It provides uninterrupted power to your locomotive over dirty track and long turnout ladders.
All sound, lighting and motor functions are buffered by two energy storage capacitors, allowing your models to keep running for up to three seconds depending on their consumption. The PowerPack Maxi has an integral charging circuit controlled by the decoder, so it may remain connected even during programming. The charging current is limited to avoid overloading the booster.
