Details and accessories

Accessories are what make the difference between scenery and a living scene: benches, trash cans, mailboxes, barrels, crates and pallets, station and platform furniture, signs, street lamps, fire hydrants, gardens, clotheslines and everything that clutters an alley or a factory yard. These scale accessories, from Walthers SceneMaster, Woodland Scenics and other manufacturers, turn a tidy but empty scene into an inhabited place, with its habits and its stories. Choose them to match your layout's era, and don't be shy about adding plenty: it's often the detail people notice first.
