Looking for a classic, indestructible flatcar for your period trains? The Rapido Trains F30A 50' flatcar, in Pennsylvania Railroad as-delivered colors, is exactly that kind of piece. With 1,500 built in 1933-1934, the F30A was among the most numerous flatcars on the Pennsy.

What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. The PRR used a massive one-piece steel casting on these cars — construction so sturdy that many lasted an extraordinarily long time, so successful that the Pennsy built another 250 nearly identical copies in 1951 (class F30D). Die-cast metal chassis and deck for optimum weight, correct PRR 2E-F10 trucks, full brake rigging, separate grab irons, turned metal wheels and Rapido semi-scale couplers: everything is here for a realistic period car.

Features

  • F30A 50' flatcar with one-piece steel casting (PRR)
  • Pennsylvania Railroad (as-delivered) livery
  • Based on the 1,500 F30A cars built in 1933-1934
