The Bicentennial, Milwaukee Road style: MILW EMD SD40-2 #156, by ScaleTrains' Rivet Counter line, wears its unique patriotic American Bicentennial scheme as it ran from 1976 to 1979.

What sets this model apart is Rivet Counter's signature prototype fidelity. Introduced in January 1972, the SD40-2 is one of EMD's most successful locomotives: over 3,900 units built through July 1984, a modular solid-state electrical system, the 3,000 hp 16-645E3 engine and HT-C three-axle trucks for superior adhesion. No. 156 belongs to Milwaukee Road's 130-170 series (ex-3000-3040), built in July 1972.

This DCC and sound version comes with a factory-installed ESU LokSound 5 decoder with Full Throttle and turbocharged 16-645E3 sounds, and all the prototype-specific detailing the Rivet Counter line is known for.
