Built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) between 1950 and 1956, over 1,400 RS-3s served railroads in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and beyond, and a handful remain in service today. Lehigh Valley's "Hammerhead" units are recognizable by their tall short hood, which housed a steam generator.

This ready-to-run Executive Line model features accurate railroad- and era-specific body variations, applied details, a can motor with dual flywheels, "Nickel Silver" RP25 wheels and knuckle couplers. It comes with an ESU LokSound V5 sound and DCC decoder and runs on both DCC and DC layouts (limited sound on DC).
