A sugar-cube speaker without an enclosure sounds thin and tinny: these Bowser boxes give 16 × 25 mm speakers the sealed air volume they need to reproduce the bass of a diesel prime mover.
Moulded in black plastic with two screw-mounting tabs, they come in two depths — 8 mm for tight installations, 11.25 mm for more volume and bass — and are sold in packs of six, enough to equip several locomotives during a DCC and sound installation. Part made by Bowser.
