Snack service on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train: this Rapido Trains Hawker Siddeley Tempo Snack Coach #5709 “Mongoose Lake” wears the maroon-and-silver Algoma Central scheme.

What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. Built by Hawker Siddeley in 1968 for CN's intercity services, the Tempo cars went to VIA Rail, then to the Rio Grande Ski Train from 1988. After the Ski Train ended in 2009, they were bought by Canadian National and redeployed, along with the F40PHs, on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train, originally operated by the Algoma Central Railway. Renumbered into the AC 5700 series and named after the region's rivers and lakes, they still run out of Sault Ste. Marie. The model features a full multi-colour interior with individually installed seats, track-powered “Easy-Peasy” interior lighting operated by magnetic wand (included), and a fully detailed underbody.
