Celebrate the United States' 250th anniversary with a standout piece: the GE ET44AC “GEVO” Tier 4 by ScaleTrains, Rivet Counter line, in CPKC's commemorative red, white and blue “America 250” scheme.
Launched in 2012, the ET44 “GEVO” is GE's Tier 4 generation: a 4,400 hp, six-axle (C-C) diesel-electric powered by a GEVO-12 engine meeting EPA Tier 4 emissions standards. Its longer frame, enlarged radiator and distinctive exhaust housing give it away at a glance; over a thousand units now roam North America's Class I railroads (production taken over by Wabtec in 2019).
To mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, CPKC renumbered units 7615-7619 as KCS 1776, 250, 776, 704 and 7626 and dressed them in a sharp “America 250” scheme bearing the “We the People” script. Each road number comes with a factory-installed ESU LokSound 5 sound decoder with Full Throttle and prototype-specific details.
