Looking for a pressure tank car for fertilizer traffic on your layout? The ScaleTrains ARI 33K spiral-jacketed tank car, from its premium Rivet Counter line, in American Railcar Leasing colours (SHPX reporting mark) with “Anhydrous Ammonia” lettering, is exactly that kind of standout piece.

American Railcar Industries' 33,000-gallon (33K) tank car is a DOT 112J340W pressure car built for the insulated, high-pressure transport of LPG, and also of anhydrous ammonia destined for agricultural fertilizer. Its signature spiral insulating jacket gives it its distinctive look.

This version reproduces initial-type SHPX cars (full-length see-through side walkway and short center sills), from series 221736-222002 built from August to October 2008, as in service from 2008 to 2018.
