The ESU PowerPack MiniXS is an extremely flat energy buffer (keep-alive) for fifth-generation ESU decoders (LokSound 5, LokPilot 5, LokPilot 5 Basic). It reliably supplies power to your locomotive across dirty track, long turnout ladders or unpowered frogs, and prevents sound dropouts.

- Compatible with all fifth-generation ESU decoders (LokSound 5, LokPilot 5, LokPilot 5 Basic)
- 6 x 0.22 Farad energy storage powering lighting, motor functions and the sound system
- Keeps the model moving for up to 1.5 seconds depending on power consumption
- Equipped with a microcontroller (MCU) and a decoder-controlled charging circuit; may be connected even during programming
- Charging current is limited to avoid overloading the booster
- Buffer time adjustable via CV, useful to respect the stop position ahead of a closed (red) signal
- Output voltage automatically adjusted to the track voltage to avoid lighting flicker
- Extremely flat module designed for smaller vehicles with moderate power consumption
