Into modern commuter trains? This Rapido Trains Bombardier bilevel car, in GO Transit (late) colors, nails the look of Greater Toronto's trains.
What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. The BiLevel double-deck coach was designed by GO Transit and Hawker Siddeley Canada in the mid-1970s; delivered from 1976 and built in Thunder Bay, Ontario by Hawker Siddeley/Can-Car, UTDC and then Bombardier, it became North America's standard bilevel commuter car. This model reproduces GO Transit's late scheme; some cars are accessible. Rapido faithfully reproduces the carbody, detailed interior and version-specific detailing. Constant interior lighting (DC and DCC), tinted windows and free-rolling trucks: it is all here.
