Rapido HO Trailers 26' 40' & 45'
Looking for the trailer that will bring your piggyback flatcars and roadside scenes to life, with plenty of choice in lengths and liveries? This collection brings together all of Rapido Trains' HO-scale highway trailers — the 26' Can-Car, the 40' Fruehauf fluted-side and the 45' Trailmobile.
A trailer on a flatcar is what turns a plain car into a believable TOFC scene; parked by a loading dock or terminal, it brings your road scenes to life too. Rapido reproduces these trailers from well-documented prototypes: the small 26' Can-Car dry van, distinctly Canadian, used by CN and CP for parcel delivery from the 1960s to the 1980s — an HO first; the 1960s-70s 40' Fruehauf Fluted-Side Volume Van in dry-van or refrigerated form; and the 45' Trailmobile, which reached Canada as early as the mid-1970s. You'll find a wide range of road names and operators — Canadian National, CP Rail and CP Transport, Smith Transport, Canada Cartage, Dominion Grocers and many more — often in colorful liveries. Finely detailed, these trailers bring your layouts the realism Rapido is known for.
