The Xuron 2175 Maxi-Shear™ is Xuron's most popular flush cutter. Extremely durable and versatile, it combines the toughness to cut cables and wire harnesses with the precision to work on very thin materials and in high-density areas. Its elongated, tapered head, in heat-treated high carbon steel (hardness 55-56 Rc) and 3.175 mm (0.125") thick, ensures great durability in intensive use.
Thanks to the patented Micro-Shear® technology (cutting by shearing), the 2175 produces clean, square cuts on soft wire up to 12 AWG (2 mm), with roughly 50% less effort than a compression-type cutter. Overall length 5.75 in (148 mm), ergonomic Xuro-Rubber™ grips, non-protruding lifetime-warranted flat return spring and glare-eliminating black finish. Not recommended for hardened or tempered wire.
