The Xuron 2175B Track Cutter is the go-to tool for model railroaders. Thanks to the patented Micro-Shear® technology (cutting by shearing rather than by compression), it produces clean, fast and perfectly square cuts on brass and nickel silver rail — with far less effort than a conventional wire cutter. The result: a clean cut that readily accepts rail joiners, with no touch-up or filing.
Compatible with HO, N and Z scale track (code 100). For best results, position the rail in the centre of the jaws, from top to bottom. Cushioned Xuro-Rubber™ grips and Light-Touch™ return spring for comfort. Not recommended for nichrome or other hard wire.
