Rapido FT
Unveiled by Electro-Motive in 1939, the FT proved that a diesel could replace steam in heavy service, and the railroads ordered it by the hundreds through the war years. Sold as close-coupled A+B pairs, it worked freight and passenger trains alike. Rapido brings the FT back to HO scale with variations never before offered — Rio Grande nose class lights, Western Pacific roof numberboards, Atlantic Coast Line's MU nose — with an ESU LokSound DCC and sound decoder factory-installed and the MoPower capacitor system.
