Looking for an ALCO locomotive with powerful sound and strong historical character for your consists? The Bowser Executive Line ALCO C425 in Penn Central colors, equipped with DCC and sound, is exactly what you need. The C425 was a 2,500-horsepower alternative to the C424: it used a different main generator to achieve the extra 100 horsepower. Produced between October 1964 and December 1966, only 99 examples were built (American and Canadian versions), with several surviving into the 2020s. Born from the 1968 merger of the Pennsylvania and the New York Central, Penn Central inherited its C425s from its predecessors — this iconic black livery anchors your consists in the transition era of Northeastern US railroading.

What sets this model apart is the attention to detail the Bowser Executive Line is known for. It recreates the railroad- and era-specific body variations, here in the configuration specific to the PC. Factory-installed air hoses, windshield wipers, grab irons, coupler lift bars, and window glazing: all the details are there. This version is equipped with an ESU LokSound V5 sound and DCC decoder and operates on both DCC and DC layouts (limited sound features on DC).
