Originally built as the tender for Southern Pacific AC-10 cab-forward #4219, the DLMX 4219 later supplied water to rotary snowplows before being acquired in 1984 by the Friends of 4449 and cosmetically modified to match SP 4449’s tender. It has since run behind SP 4449, ATSF 3751, CP 2816, SP 2472 and SP&S 700. Fully assembled and newly tooled, the model includes BLI’s Touch Lighting System, runs on both DC and DCC, and features finely detailed trucks, underbody, brake rigging and piping.
