Into modern auto trains? This Rapido Trains NSC 89' bi-level open autorack, in Canadian National (as delivered) colors, nails the look of these open cars long seen across Canadian railroads.

What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. This 89-foot open bi-level autorack rides on a flatcar built by National Steel Car (NSC) of Hamilton, Ontario, topped with a Whitehead & Kales rack structure from Detroit, Michigan. The bi-level version, introduced in 1964, carried light trucks and utility vehicles; many of these cars ran into the 2000s. Rapido faithfully reproduces the deck, rack framing and version-specific detailing. Knuckle couplers, metal wheels and a fully detailed underframe: it is all here.
