The Ski Train's premier car: this Rapido Trains Tempo Club car “Idaho Springs” wears the classic D&RGW orange-and-silver scheme, Ski Train logos included.

What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. From 1940 to 2009, the Ski Train ran between Denver Union Station and the slopes of Winter Park. In 1988 the train was re-equipped with 14 former CN/VIA Rail Tempo cars, built by Hawker Siddeley in 1968 and equipped with Head End Power (HEP). The model features a full multi-colour interior with individually installed seats, track-powered “Easy-Peasy” interior lighting operated by magnetic wand (included), and a fully detailed underbody. Together with the sets and the other single cars in the line, you can recreate the entire 14-car consist.
