The Tempo's Mexican cousin in its modern dress: this Rapido Trains Hawker Siddeley RT-85 coach wears Ferronales' (FNM) two-tone blue scheme with the FNM logo on the side, and comes in four road numbers.
What sets this model apart is Rapido's signature prototype fidelity. On the same platform as the Tempo cars built in 1968 for CN's intercity services, Hawker Siddeley delivered very similar RT-85 coaches to Nacionales de México, recognizable by their split windows. Repainted in the blue scheme adopted in the late 1980s, when Mexico's national railway took on the “Ferronales” (FNM) brand, they served until the end of national passenger service. The model features a full multi-colour interior with individually installed seats, track-powered “Easy-Peasy” interior lighting operated by magnetic wand (included), and a fully detailed underbody.
