A presidential ride on rails: Canadian National GE ES44AC #2026, by ScaleTrains' Rivet Counter line, borrows the iconic colors of the American presidential aircraft — blue, white and red — in the commemorative “America 250 / Air Force One” scheme.
In 2002, GE released the first GEVO, the series destined to replace the AC4400CW and DASH 9-44CW. Powered by the GEVO-12 engine developed to meet new emissions standards, the ES44 has become the best-selling diesel locomotive of all time. No. 2026 belongs to CN's 2750-2761 series (ex-CREX 1201-1215, built 2012), repainted in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
This DCC and sound version comes with a factory-installed ESU LokSound 5 decoder with Full Throttle and all the prototype-specific detailing the Rivet Counter line is known for.
