There is no missing this one: Canadian National GE ES44AC “Screaming Eagle” #1776, by ScaleTrains' Rivet Counter line, wears the spectacular commemorative “America 250” scheme — a star-spangled flag sweeping down the long hood and a bald eagle head up front.
In 2002, GE released the first GEVO, the series destined to replace the AC4400CW and DASH 9-44CW. Powered by the GEVO-12 engine developed to meet new emissions standards, the ES44 has become the best-selling diesel locomotive of all time. No. 1776 belongs to CN's 3970-3987 series (ex-CREX 1501-1525, built December 2015), repainted in 2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.
This DCC and sound version comes with a factory-installed ESU LokSound 5 decoder with Full Throttle and all the prototype-specific detailing the Rivet Counter line is known for.
