HO modeler who loves Canadian Pacific?
What sets this model apart is its accuracy: the Thrall 60′ double sliding-door box car (5,880 cu ft) reproduces CP's delivery livery — a beautiful red-brown, with an unpainted galvanized-steel roof and paint overspray on the roof edges. The CP order of 43 cars, built in mid-1969 and leased through National Equipment Leasing (Pittsburgh), wore the simplified CPAA graphics and all the fine data applied by Thrall. The model captures the Keystone end cushioning, Ajax brakes at the B end, a modern brake wheel and the Apex-style perforated crossover running boards. Assigned to Ford parts circuits, these cars ran across the United States and into Canada.
